NERT = Neighborhood Emergency Response Team Several Petaluma neighborhoods have organized a local NERT in order to assist each other before, during, and after an extreme disaster, such as an earthquake or flood.
ALERT = Alliance of Local Emergency Response Teams Petaluma ALERT consists of neighborhood group leaders who wish to keep in touch with what is going on with NERT groups in Petaluma and what’s going on in Petaluma, overall, with regard to emergency preparedness.
